Christianity is about being in community with God and with God’s people. Worship changes the beat of the drum we march to all week. Most of the time, we march to the beat of individualism. We each do things to provide security and comfort for ourselves, to meet our needs, to make a life for ourselves and those closest to us.

When we worship together, we are reminded that my faith, my life – it’s not just about me. Worship connects us to God and, just as importantly, it connects us to each other.

Worship reminds us that in God’s kingdom there are no boundaries or borders or restrictions. There’s plenty of seating available at God’s table and all of God’s beloved children are invited!

Worship reminds us that not only do we gather together but we are sent into our world together. Worship reminds me that Jesus is the center of our lives.
